Kerry County Council installed GEM insulation jackets recently at Killarney Leisure Centre

After a short tender process GEM won a contract to supply Kerry County Council with Insulation Jackets for its Coral Managed, Killarney Leisure Centre below.

The boiler room is constructed on 3 levels with the heat rising to the top making it very uncomfortable to enter or work in.

There was a noticable drop in temperature in the boiler room after the work had been completed

The centre is now in its 10th year of operation and was built at a cost of €16 M. It comprises a state-of-the-art sports the likes of which has never before been seen in Kerry. http://killarney.coralleisure.ie/about-us.html

The Campus offers Membership and Pay as You Go options and welcomes individuals and Groups of all abilities. The Centre includes 25m 5 Lane Pool, Learner & Baby Pools, Health Suite, Treatment Rooms, State of the Art Fully Equipped Gym, Fitness Studios and Kerry’s Largest indoor Sports Arena.

GEM installed insulation jackets on the large control valves, flanges, strainers and NRVs on the headers including a very large insulation jacket for an Air & Dirt Separator vessel. In addition GEM also supplied jackets for the secondary heating circuits (DHW, UFH, AHU and Other Heat Exchange Circuits).

The insulation jackets were installed in just one working day without any interruption to services at Killarney Leisure Centre.
