GEM insulation recently insulated #4 boiler rooms for Farnham Resort & Spa. Comments received from staff were very encouraging. There was a significant and palpable drop in temperature in the main boiler room. In addition the bedrooms over the bedroom Boiler Room were said to be more comfortable for guests.
GEM insulation jackets were installed over a #2 day period with minimum disruption to the hotel or hotel services. The exposed pipe work had previously been measured by GEM. All GEM insulation jackets are bespoke which involves taking #4 measurements from each individual exposed piece of pipe work. Lenght and circumference measures are taken along with the position of any aperatures and the width of same. A detailed insulation jacket specification is drawn up which includes the location in the boiler room of each piece of pipe work. All pipe work suitable for insulation jackets is numbered with a bold permanent marker.
The Farnham insulation jackets included flanges, control valves, NRVs, strainers, calorifier manifolds, air & dirt separators, butterfly valves, meteres and header ends. The detailed specification was sent for manufacture and delivery direct to the Farnham for safe keeping for GEM installation. Installation took #2 working days and included multiple insulation jackets in the Bedroom, Spa, Old House and Main Boiler Rooms.
A hand over to staff was conducted prior to GEM departure and checks were made to insure all items listed in the insulation jackets specification were installed.
Hotels in particular benefit hugly from the application of bespoke thermal insulation jackets given that they are 24 hour operations
