The centres are heated 24 x 7 x 365 with demands from AHUs and Pool Heat Exchangers amongst other things.
The Coral staff operating the Pool Plant noticed that the boiler houses were unusually hot
GEM insulation jackets were identified as the choice method to cool things down as they retain 91% of the heat
GEM surveys were conducted on all the exposed pipe work across a number of the Centres and heat loss calculations were produced for Coral Leisure Management
Funding was secured through the SEAI Better Energy Communities Programme
The work was scheduled by GEM and now the Coral Leisure Centres are ‘Cool as Can Be’ with GEM Insulation Jackets
